Suggested Prerequisites: It is recommended that students with little to no experience as a property claim adjuster also complete the Field Adjusting and/or Desk Adjusting course to establish industry best practices.

Introduction – this class is for users who have little to no experience with the Xactimate platform. It will teach students how to get started in Xactimate by covering the fundamentals of sketching, system navigation, and will cover the basics of XactAnalysis. Completion of this class will prepare students for sketching the simple interior and roof plans covered in the Basics class.

Basics – this class is for users who have previously used Xactimate but have limited abilities with sketching interiors and roofs. The focus of this class will be on constructing basic interior and roof sketches. Completion of this class will prepare students for the more advanced sketching and estimate writing skills covered in the Intermediate class.

Intermediate – this class is for users who can sketch basic interiors and roofs without difficulty and will explore more advanced topics such as the use of reference blocks, roof locks, vertex tool, and overhand manipulation. The class will also cover estimate writing and file documentation. Students will also learn about some common errors and their solutions such as SQL and hidden pages. Completion of this class will provide students with the skills and knowledge to efficiently complete a solid estimate with supporting documentation from start to finish.

Advanced – this class is for users who are already experienced in the Xactimate platform and can efficiently sketch the most common interior and roof plans without difficulty. This class will allow advanced users to continue to build on their knowledge and will cover topics such as sketching elevations, custom windows, roof tie-in’s from first to second story, custom ceilings, and overlay and radius staircases. Completion of this class will enable students to take their Xactimate skills to the highest level.
